Our ethos

Track what matters — and say only what is true.

Trackid works with children's commute information, so trust is the product. These are the principles we hold ourselves to in code, copy, and conduct.

  • 01

    Honest language

We say what our software does and does not do. A commute update reflects a tag detected near the driver phone or an entry by the driver — never a claim that a child is safe.

  • 02

    Visibility, not guarantees

Where available, we show the driver phone location during an active commute, always with a clear last-updated time. We never imply a child’s location is known — only the driver’s phone location when shared.

  • 03

    Records, not verdicts

A criminal record screening result recorded in Trackid is a point-in-time record from a provider. It is not a guarantee of identity, driving ability, future conduct, or safety.

  • 04

    Children’s data by necessity only

We collect and store only what is required to deliver commute updates. Children’s data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the commute update service.

  • 05

    Emergency services first

Trackid is not an emergency service. If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services and the responsible transport provider. Trackid does not dispatch anyone.
