About Trackid
We built what did not exist.
Scholar transport in South Africa moves hundreds of thousands of children every school day. Yet most of it happens invisibly — parents send messages and wait, operators manage everything manually, and schools have no visibility at all.
Trackid was built to change that. Not with promises or guarantees, but with tools that do the work automatically: a commute update when a trip starts, a map when location is shared, a record when a driver is screened.
We are not an emergency service. We do not guarantee safety. We give everyone involved — parents, operators, schools — clearer information, less manual work, and a shared record they can trust.
We are a team committed to building tools that did not exist for a problem that was not going away.
What we stand for
Honest by design
We say what the product does and what it does not. No overclaiming. No safety theatre. A commute update reflects a tag detected near the driver phone or an entry by the driver — never a claim that a child is safe.

BLE tags, driver screening records, POPIA compliance — every decision reflects the real South African scholar transport context.
Children’s data, protected
Every design decision starts with: what is the minimum data we need? Children’s information is never sold, never shared beyond necessity, and handled under our documented POPIA compliance framework.
Operators as partners
Transport operators are small businesses doing essential work. Our tools reduce their admin so they can focus on their routes.
